Parish Council. The Parish Council is advertising a new vacancy. It is also asking villagers who are interested in the idea of a Parish Plan to return their reply forms. Finally, minutes of the last Parish Council meeting are now online.

Village Notelets, in full colour, are now available. A set of three showing the Village Sign, the Tithe Barn and Green End, with envelopes, costs £1. A single notelet showing All Saints' church is 35p. Available from Ray Gambell at The Old School.

Denson Close Day Centre. The Centre, which provides for the senior citizens of Waterbeach, Landbeach and Chittering, needs volunteers to work on Mondays and Wednesdays. Please contact Maureen Douglas on 564640.

Landbeach Village Hall Management Committee Fete 2005. The Committee would like to hold a village fete in 2005 (the last one was in 2000). Those interested in joining in the planning should phone Anne Bullman 860692 or Colleen Dell 860578 or speak to any Village Hall committee member. Update. ADSL. BT has begun to install ADSL connections in Landbeach. ADSL is a system that allows you to use your telephone and your Internet connection at the same time over your existing telephone line. What's more, the ADSL Internet connection is much faster and can be left on all the time. Contact BT (website here) or your Internet Service Provider to sign up for this service.

The Parish Council is distributing Golden Jubilee Coins to children up to 16 years old. If your child has not received a coin, please contact Roseanne Shea, Parish Clerk, on 864321.

Volunteers are needed to drive the Landbeach-to-Milton Minibus between 8 - 10 am on Tuesdays. Please contact Jasper Kay on 01954 250485.

Broadband Internet. Local community groups and an Internet Service Provider, Invisible Networks [no longer exists - Ed.] of Cottenham, are trying to bring high-speed Internet connections to local homes and businesses. We could bring Broadband Internet to Landbeach if a few of us act together. Please contact www.landbeach.org.uk if you would like to discuss this.
