Landbeach & Milton Baptist Church
The first Baptist Church in Landbeach was built in 1816, although Baptists were meeting in private homes in the area from approximately 1798. The present building was erected in 1854 to take the place of the earlier smaller building. Today the church is called Landbeach & Milton Baptist Church, its members come not only from those two villages but also from other nearby villages and they extend a warm welcome to everyone.
Sunday Morning Service – 10.30 am
Our morning meetings usually contain a mixture of traditional and modern worship and children are catered for either in their own group or on the 2nd Sunday of each month within our family service.
Sunday Evening Service – 6.00 pm (5.00 pm in winter)
This is an informal meeting, which varies in format and content.
Home Groups
These small groups meet most weeks in members’ homes. They are an opportunity for people to get to know one another better and to support and encourage each other. The format of the meetings varies but it will probably include bible study sessions and opportunities for social interaction.
Groups meet in Landbeach on Tuesday evenings at 7.30 pm at The Old School, Green End, which is a joint group with All Saints’ Parish Church and Wednesday mornings at 10.00 am at 1 Abraham’s Close.
Another group meets on Thursday evenings at 7.30 pm at 2 West Field, Willingham.
Wednesday Club
This group meets twice a month at 2.30 pm and its meetings are varied and interesting and often include local speakers.
Prayer Meeting
The members of the church place a strong emphasis on prayer and whilst individual prayer is always ongoing, there is a dedicated prayer meeting on Thursday mornings at 9.00 to 9.30 am. We are continually praying for our community and would be pleased to pray for any specific prayer requests.
Coffee Morning
There is a monthly coffee morning on the first Friday of each month from 10.00 am to 12 noon. Everyone is welcome to join us for free coffee and homemade cakes.
